potaytoes Heavy and exciting new release. For fans of Dozer/Elder/King Buffalo/any band to appear on a Weedian compilation. Really, if you like rock, metal or anything associated with a recreational drug, you’ll love Scorched Oak.
It’s a new release and I’m already excited to see what they bless us all with next. Favorite track: Mirrors.

Scott Spiers Perception annihilated expectations. In my mind, it puts Scorched Oak in the same league as Howling Giant, Ritual King, Saturna, and Steak as one of the best bands in the scene. Every member of the German 3-piece gets their moments, but Linda practically steals the show with her soaring vocals and deceptively wicked bass playing. A definite must for fans of All Things Heavy. Favorite track: Mirrors.

Delusion 08:21
We are nothing but trails in the sand Vanished by the wind The desert blossom withers We are nothing but trails in the sand One single drop of water could save your life Take the blindfold off Can't you see it Black monoliths arise Emerging from the ground The end of time Fire raining from the sky Weary voyager Forgotten is his path Distorted truth Decay of mind We are nothing but trails in the sand Vanished by the wind The desert blossom withers We are nothing but trails in the sand One single drop of water could save your life Take the blindfold off Can't you see it Black monoliths arise Emerging from the ground The end of time Fire raining from the sky Delusion Echoes from the dark Blurry visions The walls are closing in Delusion Echoes from the dark Blurry visions The walls are closing in Flickering light Cleanse your mind Burn the incense Listen to the flame Inhale the smoke Behold the offering Now ash obscures the sun Devouring the light Mankind turned to dust And blackness floods the sky Dried up rivers Seas turn red

Mirrors 07:28
Old friend I'm dying I'm dying for you Old friend I'm longing I'm longing for you Living in paradise Still I'm confused All doors are open Which one should I close Old friend I'm dying I'm dying for you Fear to lose you Desperation Restless mind I'm All on my own Saw you dying Should I stay or should I disappear House of mirrors Where did you go? Living in paradise Still I'm confused All doors are open Which one should I close Old friend I'm dying I'm dying for you All the colors are fading Menacing light Now the void is returning Threatening white I do not want to choose Nor do I want to go All locks are broken and I Retire my soul Old friend I'm dying I'm dying for you Old friend I'm longing I'm longing for you Living in paradise Still I'm confused All doors are open Which one should I close Old friend I'm dying I'm dying for you

Relief 04:50
It's not your fault It never was It's all the others It's so gross You can't take it One more day The time has come To make them pay Let the blackness rise In your soul Keep your mind Out of control Let the hatred rise Up in your soul No need to hide I'll track you down The scent of death You're on your own The hunt begins Such easy prey Even if you try It's all in vain Let the blackness rise In your soul Keep your mind Out of control Let the hatred rise Up in your soul Let the blackness rise In your soul Keep your mind Out of control Let the hatred rise Up in your soul

Echoes 05:52
I see you walking on a green field I see you dancing in the sand I hear your voice but words are fading A broken crystal in my hand I feel your loving all around me Even now that you are gone Life is changing, time is fading Didn't choose to be alone I see you walking on a green field I see you dancing in the sand I hear your voice but words are fading A broken crystal in my hand I feel your loving all around me Even now that you are gone Life is changing, time is fading Didn't choose to be alone On your road of no return I hope that you're fine The old bracelet on my wrist Borrowed from you long ago I knew nothing lasts forever though I Wished for something else I remember every corner Of the roads we used to go Every ink drop on the paper Of the letters you once wrote Now I'm sliding down the void into My dark and heavy mind No need to care about the bleeding Time will heal it anyway On your road of no return I hope that you're fine The old bracelet on my wrist Borrowed from you long ago I knew nothing lasts forever though I Wished for something else

Reflection 05:13
Water dripping Running down your skin Level rising The journey begins Now you are on the other side Where nothing is the same Black is white, up is down And you're stuck In your own dream Stuck in your own dream Vision is clearing Nothing seems real Reflecting surface A new world appears Now you are on the other side Where nothing is the same Black is white, up is down And you're stuck In your own dream Stuck in your own dream

Oracle 08:00
Old feathers fly in cold winds Following the voices of hundred years Old feathers fly in cold winds Following the voices of thousand years Dark waves crashing in the night and lightning flickers in the sky No shelter in his sight all alone he flies In the storm He spreads his wings and flies higher Despite all threats he moves on He knows there's a kindred spirit You're never too far from home Storm clouds are gathering and Thunders roaring in the dark Voices whisper in the night Rough cliffs pierce the sea In the storm he spreads his wings and flies higher Despite all threats he moves on He knows there's a kindred spirit You're never too far from home

Evil wizard in his lair waiting for the night Smokes his pipe and has a drink time to start the rite Coming down the mountain to haunt their quiet homes Inside the people tremble prey, beg, whine and moan A noise at the door you know who's there Grim wizard's calling "tonight it's your turn!" Cold shiver on your back now he got inside Fierce wizard's taking your children tonight Knock knock wizard's calling Knock knock he's at the door Knock knock soul collector He hungers for some more Knock knock wizard's coming Knock knock better lock the door Knock knock wizard's calling He's coming for some more Better give him what he wants Gruesome wizard, slender fingers longing for your souls Lightning flickers in his cave from occult shining bowls Potions glowing colorful made of children tears Crafted with devotion and fueled by their fears Knock knock wizard's calling Knock knock he's at the door Knock knock soul collector He hungers for some more Knock knock wizard's coming Knock knock better lock the door Knock knock wizard's calling He's coming for some more Better give him what he wants Bewitched poor little children like puppets on a string their mothers deep in sorrow why can just someone bring their loved ones right back to the fold and give them all some ease but what's once taken by his hold will never be released Knock knock wizard's calling Knock knock he's at the door Knock knock soul collector He hungers for some more Knock knock wizard's coming Knock knock better lock the door Knock knock wizard's calling He's coming for some more Better give him what he wants Knock knock wizard's calling Knock knock he's at the door Knock knock soul collector He hungers for some more Knock knock wizard's coming Knock knock better lock the door Knock knock wizard's calling He's coming for some more Better give him what he wants
